Our recital will take place during the first week of June 2027 at South Dade Senior High School. Dress rehearsal: Friday, June 4th. Recital: Saturday, June 5th. Both dress rehearsal and the recital are mandatory for all participating dancers. Detailed schedules, arrival times, and production information will be shared at a later date.
To secure your dancer's participation, please complete the Google registration form linked below and submit the recital fee. Due October 15, 2026. Last day to pay and submit the participation form: November 1, 2026. Your payment paid through the DanceWorks portal will confirm participation, and the completed form ensures that your dancer is accounted for as teachers begin planning costumes, choreography, and staging.

Costumes
One Encanto costume per dancer.
This year for our 2027 recital, the theme of our production will be Encanto. Each dancer will have one costume for this year's production. Below you will see the costume deposit and balance due dates, and costumes per class.
Everyone has one costume for our Encanto production. Dancers who take class 1 hour per week will have 1 dance in the show. Dancers enrolled for 2+ hours a week will have 2 dances in the show. All dancers in the pre-show (PreKinder, K1 and K2 classes) will have 1–2 dances, depending on how many hours of class they take per week.

We are so excited to see all of our beautiful dancers at Picture Day. This is such a special time for our dancers to capture all their hard work and beautiful costumes. It is going to be such a special and memorable time. Please be sure to review the recital picture schedule with the highlighted day and time to see when your dancer is scheduled, along with everything they will need. You will find details on the required shoes, as well as whether tights are needed or not.

Picture Day rules
Tights
Tights will be provided by us and included in your dancer's costume bag.
Hair
Headpieces are placed on the RIGHT side, near the ponytail or bun.
Arrival
ALL DANCERS must arrive with hair and makeup completed and dressed in their FIRST costume according to the schedule.
Two dances, one block
If both dances are in the same block, Jazz/Tap/Contemporary goes first.
Backstage moms
Backstage moms will help dancers get picture-ready. Only backstage moms are permitted inside the studio on Picture Day.
Recital photos can also be viewed and purchased in the lobby during dress rehearsal (June 4).

2027 Student Trophy — $40
Optional order form for parents to purchase the student "Year of Completion" trophy. Deadline for orders is April 1, 2027.
Trophies ordered will be available for pick up at our dress rehearsal on Friday, June 4th. It is recommended that trophies are given to your dancer at the end of their show on June 5th as a congratulations for a successful show.

IMPORTANT: A VIP Paramount Pass is required for dancer pickup at both dress rehearsal and recital day. Parents must present their VIP Paramount Pass to pick up their dancer.
Dress Rehearsal

On arrival
Dancers report directly to the auditorium, where they will find their assigned dressing room and backstage mom.
Drop-off & pickup
Drop-off only — parents are not permitted to stay. Pickup promptly at the conclusion of each rehearsal session.

- All accessories and shoes prepared
Pickup
No dancer pickup DURING either performance — pickup only AFTER the Pre-Show and again AFTER the Main Show.
Important reminders
- All dancers wear their designated hairstyle depending on their dance
- No nail polish
- No underwear under costumes Unless specifically instructed
- Only performance earrings and approved costume accessories
- Stage makeup required for Recital Day Saturday, June 5Sat
- No makeup at Dress Rehearsal Friday, June 4Fri
- Bring all shoes, accessories, and costume pieces to Dress Rehearsal and Recital
- Label all belongings whenever possible
- No electronics backstage
